Eriksson sticks to tried and tested
Sven-Goran Eriksson resisted the temptation to make sweeping changes to his England squad giving his favoured line-up the chance to cement their FIFA World Cup™ credentials in Wednesday’s friendly against Denmark.
The Swede has hinted that Michael Owen, out of favour at Real Madrid, and Joe Cole, in and out of the Chelsea side, would only have to play half of their clubs’ games this season to keep their places for next summer’s finals in Germany.
