Ten teams already qualified for WC 2006

The 2006 FIFA World Cup picture is slowly coming into focus. Ten nations have now qualified for next summer’s finals. Only the Africa and Oceania zones, with Australia still to face off against a South American opponent, have yet to produce a representative for the Final Draw.

The final two match days on 8 and 12 October are set to reveal the identity of the next teams to qualify – and the next to falter.

Ten qualified teams are:

Japan (qualified June 8, 2005)
Iran (June 8, 2005)
Korea Republic (June 8, 2005)
Saudi Arabia (June 8, 2005)

Germany Host
Ukraine (September 3, 2005)

Argentina (June 8, 2005)
Brazil (September 4, 2005)

USA (September 3, 2005)
Mexico (September 7, 2005)
