Au-revoir Zinedine Zidane
France vs. South Korea could be the last official match for one of the greatest football player - 34 years old midfielder, Zinedine Zidane.
The world’s most expensive player since his 66 million euros move from Juventus to Real Madrid in 2001, already announced his retirement after the World Cup 2006.
Zinedine Zidane was booked after barging into a Korean when the ball was out of play and after his second yellow card he is suspended for France’s final World Cup Group G game with Togo on Saturday. It could be his last 90 minutes he played against South Korea.
But as I remember in 1998 Zidane was suspended (for two matches) because of a red card (against Saudi Arabia in the first round) and he ended the tournament, scoring two goals in the finals, as the World Cup Champion.
Update: France is through the first stage and will play against Spain in the round of 16. Zinedine Zidane will have a chance to play at least one more game for his contry.
