When I clicked the link I got somethign called ff-companion.exe When I run it it launches what looks like the Mozilla 1.1 installer like it's going to install a browser. I cancelled out of the installer since I didn't want to overwrite my install. But then the extension showed up in my existing browser install anyway! OoooK I'll take it. It's pretty cool. Strange. Why in the world don't they offer a normal Firefox extension file? I'm not going to install some custom version of Firefox when I already have the browser installed. That's just bizarre. The FAQ makes it sound like a normal Firefox extension, but it seems to be Google's custom Firefox build instead with the extension prepackaged. Pity.
