Thuram To Play On, Makelele Treated As a Slave
Raymond Domenech convinced Lilian Thuram to continue his international career. France visit Georgia on September 2 before hosting Italy at the Stade de France four days later in a rematch of the World Cup final.
I’ll be there to play against Georgia. I haven’t had much choice. Makelele would miss two games apiece for each France game he refuses to play. Domenech has spoken to both the player and Mourinho and is adamant he wants Makelele in his squad.
